"We are considering the launch of a tender in November or December this year," Grcic said in a video file posted on the website of Tanjug news agency on Monday.
The project will take at least three years to complete, Grcic said.
EPS aims to increase the capacity of the two units and bring them in line with ecological standards, Grcic said in March.
Nikola Tesla A is part of the Termoelektrane Nikola Tesla (TENT) power generation complex, which also includes the TPP Nikola Tesla B, TPP Morava and TPP Kolubara power plants.
