March 27 (SeeNews) - Serbia's state-owned electricity producer EPS said it has signed a deal with the local unit of Israeli renewables developer Enlight for purchasing electricity and assuming balancing responsibility for the 95.5 MW Pupin wind farm in Vojvodina.
The contract was signed for 15 years, said EPS acting director Dusan Zivkovic in a press release on Tuesday.

This is the second of a total of nine projects that received incentives at the first auctions for market premiums conducted by the energy ministry.
The energy generated from the Pupin wind farm will be able to supply about 40,000 households.
Following the signing of the deal, energy minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic highlighted the success of auctions in promoting renewable energy projects, aiming for a total of 1,300 new MW of capacity within three years.
This year, Serbia plans to launch new auctions, hoping for a capacity of 400 MW for both solar and wind farms, she said.
In June 2021, Serbia's Vojvodina autonomous province government issued a building permit for the Pupin wind farm.
