This is a historic financial result, and, in addition to the improved financial situation, investments have started to be realised more efficiently, energy minister Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic said in a press release last week.
The company closed 2022 with a consolidated net loss of 73 billion dinars, compared with a loss of 16 billion dinars a year earlier, according to its website.
Last month, EPS said Serbia's state-owned energy producer Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) plans to invest 5.4 billion euro ($6.4 billion) in the development of new projects for renewable energy sources by 2030.
