Serbia’s EPS picks suppliers of 144 GWh to cover shortages in November

BELGRADE (Serbia), October 30 (SeeNews) – Serbian power utility EPS said on Tuesday it has selected three utilities in a tender to buy 144 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity in order to meet deficiencies in November.

The winners were selected taking into account their prices. The average price was 58.38 euro ($75.5) per megawatt-hour, EPS told SeeNews in an e-mailed statement.

Eight Serbian companies had bid in the electricity tender for four lots, but three of them were awarded contracts. The companies with the best offers were GEN-I, Ezapad and Alpiq, EPS added.
