Serbia’s C-bank Says Sells 10 Mln Euro To Back Dinar

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 11 (SeeNews) – Serbia's dinar firmed on Tuesday after the central bank, NBS, intervened by selling 10 million euro (12.7 million),  NBS said.

NBS said in a statement it had stepped in to raise liquidity and boost turnover.

Based on turnover of 5.2 million euro in morning trade, an indicative exchange rate of 85.3269 dinars per euro was formed. After the intervention, the dinar firmed and closed at 84.62 per euro.

The NBS sold 68 million euro last week to prevent an excessive drop of the dinar.
