BELGRADE (Serbia), December 29 (SeeNews) – Serbia’s central bank, NBS, on Tuesday lowered its key repo rate by 0.5 percentage points to 9.5%.
The rate takes effect as of Tuesday, NBS said in a statement without providing additional details. It added that governor Radovan Jelasic will elaborate on the decision at a news conference later in the day.
NBS last changed the repo rate on November 5, lowering it to 10% from 11%.
The next session of the central bank monetary committee will take place on January 12.
