Serbia’s BELEX15 adds 0.57%, T-bonds boost turnover

March 19 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.57% higher at 971.76 points on Tuesday, boosted by gains in aluminium rolling mill Impol Seval [BEL:IMPL] and cookware maker Metalac [BEL:MTLC], bourse data showed.

Impol added 3.64% to 5,700 dinars in a volume of twenty shares, while Metalac closed 3.13% higher at 1,650 dinars.

At the same time, construction company Jedinstvo [BEL:JESV] paced the blue-chip decliners, shedding 2.28% to 7,100 dinars. A total of 715 Jedinstvo shares changed hands generating the day’s largest turnover of 5.1 million dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed 0.52% higher at 2,104.63 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse soared to 193.6 million dinars ($1.8 million/1.7 million euro) on Tuesday from 6.2 million dinars on Monday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 182.9 million dinars of Tuesday's turnover.
