Serbia's Alfa Plam buys back 6,202 own shares

December 28 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue-chip household appliances manufacturer Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] has repurchased 6,202 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, it said.

As of December 25, Alfa Plam held 13,386 own shares, or 8.51% of its capital, the company said in a bourse filing on Friday.

In January, Alfa Plam said it plans to buy back a total of 15,733 own shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, representing up to 10% of its share capital, in order to prevent distortions in the securities market and damage to the company.

The company is one of 12 members of the BELEX15 blue-chip index of the Belgrade bourse. It has a free-float factor (FFc) of 23.24%, which accounts for 3.24% of the total capitalisation of the index.

Alfa Plam closed down 2.21% at 21,024 dinars ($218/179 euro) on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday.
