Serbia’s AIK Banka 9-mo Pre-tax Profit Falls 28% - Table

October 27 (SeeNews) - Serbian blue chip AIK Banka's pre-tax profit fell to 3.0 billion dinars ($48 million/32 million euro) in the first nine months of 2009 from 4.2 billion dinars a year earlier, figures from the country’s central bank showed.

AIK Banka ranked the seventh largest bank in Serbia with total assets of 93.3 billion dinars at the end of September, central bank statistics indicated.

There were 34 banks active in Serbia in the first nine months of the year. The top three by assets were Belgrade-based Banca Intesa, part of Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, Komercijalna banka, and Raiffeisen Banka.
