September 3 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Serbia fell by an annual 8.0% to 1.2 million through July, data from the country's statistics office showed.

Serbia's 7-mo Tourist Numbers Fall 8.0% Y/Y - Table

Tourist overnights in the first seven months of 2009 fell 3.0% on the year to 4,195,353, the statistics office said on its website.

In July alone, tourist numbers fell by an annual 5.0% to 205,179, while overnights were up 10.0% to 828,419.
