September 7 (SeeNews) - Serbia had a consolidated budget deficit of 57.6 billion dinars ($881 million/615 million euro) in the first seven months of 2009, Finance Ministry data indicated.
Budget revenue was 635 billion dinars through July, while spending totalled 692 billion dinars, the Finance Ministry said in a statement on its website. The ministry gave no comparative figures for the same period of 2008.
Last month the International Monetary Fund (IMF) agreed to a rise in Serbia's 2009 budget deficit forecast to 4.5% of GDP from the 3.0% set initially under a 3.0 billion euro ($4.3 billion) loan deal signed with the lender in March.
