Serbian tie-up wins 1.8 mln euro university renovation project - TED

October 16 (SeeNews) - A Serbian consortium led by builder Jugogradnja has won a 1.77 million euro ($2.3 million) order from the European Union for reconstruction of Belgrade University premises, a contract award notice in the EU's procurement journal indicated on Tuesday.

The funding was provided under EU's Instrument for Pre-Accession assistance (IPA).

The contract involves construction and reconstruction of lecture halls, classrooms and laboratories at the university for a period of 18 months, the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed.

The other partners in the consortium are AR Gradnja and Ornament Investinzenjering.

Serbia joined the EU accession programme in November 2007. The EU has allocated to the country 1.1 billion euro under the IPA programme for the 2007-2012 period.
