Serbian stock indices advance

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 6 (SeeNews) – Serbian share indices ended in the green on Tuesday as total turnover rose, bourse data indicated.

The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange added 0.36% to 451.67 points after losing 0.19% on Monday.

The broader BELEXline was up 0.17% to 889.69 points after a 0.16% decline in the previous trading session.

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna climbed 0.73% in euro terms to 140.90 after falling 0.36% on Monday.

Brewer BIP paced the gainers, adding 12.5% to 36 dinars in a volume of 1,623 shares.

Banka Postanska Stedionica led the session's decliners, plunging 19.3% to 15,494 dinars with only 20 shares changing hands.

Total turnover rose to 24.5 million dinars ($277,500/214,500 euro) from 19.3 million dinars on Monday.

Oil and gas firm NIS generated Tuesday’s largest turnover of 7.2 million dinars, closing 1.06% higher at 665 dinars.

The operator of the Belgrade airport, Aerodrom Nikola Tesla, was also actively traded, posting 1.0 million dinars in turnover and gaining 1.18% to 428 dinars.

“The airport operator advanced as the dividend day is coming at the end of the year,” Milos Bijanic, financial analyst at Belgrade-based Sinteza Invest Group, told SeeNews.
