Serbian Share Indices Tick Down, Builder Napred Boosts Volumes

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 19 (SeeNews) – Serbian share indices ticked down on Thursday with construction firm Napred generating the bulk of turnover, bourse data showed.

The bourse's total turnover soared to 325 million dinars ($5.1 million/3.4 million euro) from 41 million dinars on Wednesday. Construction firm Napred generated 311 million dinars of turnover with shares sliding 10% to end at 2,700 dinars.

“It was just a regular, pre-agreed transaction on behalf of the company’s existing shareholders,” a local broker told SeeNews over the phone. 

The Belgrade bourse's blue-chip BELEX15 index edged down 0.03% to 731.68 points after nudging up 0.13% a day earlier.

The broader BELEXline index inched down 0.02% to 1,401.13 points after sliding 0.33% on Wednesday.

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna lost 0.6% to 326.17.

Blue chip AIK Banka recorded the day's second highest turnover of 5.8 million dinars, falling 1.13% to end at 2,702 dinars.

Machine building firm Progres paced the gainers, climbing 18% to 118 dinars.

Construction firm Putevi posted the session’s biggest drop. Shares tumbled 12% to end at 1,144 dinars.

Fallers outnumbered climbers 19 to 12, while the shares of 15 companies remained flat on Thursday.
