Serbian share indices rise, NIS leads daily turnover

November 28 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Belgrade Stock Exchange rose on Thursday, as oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] dominated the daily turnover, bourse data showed.

NIS also led the blue-chip gainers' list, as it closed 1.39% higher at 729 dinars in 15.9 million dinar turnover, the highest for the day.

The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the bourse, ended the session 0.58% higher at 771.55 points.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, added 0.53% to 1,667.95.

The total trading turnover of the Belgrade Stock Exchange amounted to 18.9 million dinars ($177,000/161,000 euro) on Thursday, down from Wednesday's 270.8 million dinars, as 106 transactions were carried out.

Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the exchange generated a turnover of 1.1 million dinars.

No Treasury bonds changed hands on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
