October 9 (SeeNews) - Serbian share indices continued their downward drift in almost flat turnover on Friday, stock exchange data showed.

The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange dipped 1.07% to 819.92 points after shedding 0.91% a day earlier. The broader BELEXline index edged down 0.23% to 1,551.93 points after a 1.11% slide on Thursday.

The joint SRX index of the bourses in Belgrade and Vienna dropped 1.69% to end at 369.58 on Friday.

The Belgrade bourse's total turnover increased to 42.7 million dinars ($676,335/458,501 euro) from 41.6 million dinars on Thursday. Trade in government bonds rose to 9.6 million dinars from 7.4 million dinars a day earlier.

Blue-chip AIK Banka lost 1.05% to 3,017 dinars in the session’s highest turnover of 6.5 million dinars.

Another blue-chip lender, Metals Banka, tumbled 4.77% to 8,507 dinars in the second highest turnover of 4.3 million dinars.

Mechanical engineering company Progres posted the biggest gains on Friday. Shares surged 19.64% to 134 dinars.

Commercial lender Credy Banka was the session’s biggest decliner, diving 7.16% to 5,106 dinars.

Decliners outnumbered gainers by 22 to 20, while the shares of 18 companies ended flat on Friday.
