BELGRADE (Serbia), December 17 (SeeNews) – Serbian insurer Milenijum Osiguranje, part of the Croatia Osiguranje group, said its net profit rose by 69% on the year to 20.2 million dinars ($300,435/209,435 euro) in the first nine months of 2009.
The insurer's premium income grew by 23% to 739.2 million dinars through September, in line with plan, its CEO Veljko Knezevic said in a statement on Wednesday.
Twenty-five insurance companies operated in Serbia at the end of September, central bank data showed . The top five by premium income among them were Dunav Osiguranje, DDOR, Delta Generali Osiguranje, Wiener Staedtische Osiguranje and Grawe Osiguranje.
