May 7 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade bourse closed 0.49% lower at 1,000.18 points on Tuesday, as industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] paced the blue-chip decliners, bourse data showed.
Messer closed 4% lower at 24,000 dinars in a volume of eighteen shares.
At the same time, oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] led the blue-chip gainers, adding 1.28% to 873 dinars. A total of 992 NIS shares changed hands generating the day's largest turnover of 866,126 dinars.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted also fell, closing 0.25% lower at 2,202.89 points.
Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse fell to 3.5 million dinars ($32,200/29,700 euro) on Tuesday from 8.4 million dinars last Wednesday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 238,227 dinars of Tuesday's turnover.
The Belgrade bourse was closed on May 1 and May 2 due to International Labour Day and on May 3 and May 6 due to Orthodox Easter.
