Serbian bourse BELEX15 sheds 0.40%, NIS falls

February 27 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip BELEX15 index of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed 0.40% lower at 928.19 points on Tuesday, dragged down by losses in oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] and insurer Dunav Osiguranje [BEL:DNOS], bourse data showed.

NIS closed 1.15% lower at 776 dinars in a volume of 340 shares. Dunav shed 1.01% to 883 dinars.

At the same time, civil engineering group Energoprojekt [BEL:ENHL] led the blue-chip gainers, adding 3.33% to 310 dinars.

Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] generated the day's largest turnover. A total of 134 Messer shares changed hands in a turnover of 3.2 million dinars. Messer closed 0.58% lower at 23,985 dinars.

The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index also fell, closing 0.17% lower at 2,020.20 points.

Total turnover on the Belgrade bourse plummeted to 8.7 million dinars ($81,000/74,600 euro) on Tuesday from 304.8 million dinars on Monday. Trading in Treasury bonds accounted for 2.6 million dinars of Tuesday's turnover.
