December 31 (SeeNews) - The second phase of the liberalization of Serbia's electricity market, involving the mid-voltage segment, is set to begin on January 1, local media reported on Tuesday.

The deregulation push got underway in 2013, starting with large industrial consumers of high-voltage electricity, news portal Tanjugbiz.rs reported.

Some 3,200 consumers of mid-voltage electricity will join the deregulated segment this year with households set to follow suit in 2015.
