Serbia to call tender for IT upgrade of tax system in mid 2013 – TED

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 6 (SeeNews) – Serbia will call in mid 2013 a tender for software services under a EU-financed project for the modernisation of its tax system, the EU procurement journal TED said on Tuesday.

The maximum budget envisaged for the contract amounts to 3.4 million euro ($4.4 million).

The purpose of the project is to increase the tax collection capacity of the Serbian tax administration. It will include technical assistance to support the implementation of the tax administration systems, adequate reporting and an Internet portal to provide service to tax payers.

The contracting authority is the European Union. The modernisation project of the country's tax administration is under the EU Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance. The upgrade's total budget is 9.47 million euro, of which EU contribution of 7.60 million euro.
