Interested bidders face a March 27 deadline to submit binding offers, the government’s Privatisation Agency said in a statement.
Eligible bidders are companies which have been active in organising fairs for the past three years with a minimum revenue of 50 million euro ($70 million) in 2007. An eligible bidder should have organised at least 25 fairs annually for the past three years.
Beogradski Sajam's net profit rose to 120 million dinars (1.37 million euro/$1.92 million) in 2007 from 95 million in 2006, the latest data from its website showed.
The company has 106,000 square metres of exhibition space in the capital Belgrade. It employed some 240 people in 2007.
Sebia’s Trade Ministry said last year that Italian trade fair organiser Rimini Fiera was interested in Beogradski Sajam.
