Serbia targets 3.3% budget gap, 2.0% GDP growth in 2013

October 25 (SeeNews) - The Serbian government said on Thursday it adopted the country's draft fiscal plan for next year, setting a budget deficit target equivalent to 3.3% of the projected gross domestic product (GDP).

The government said in a statement it expects the Serbian economy to grow by 2.0% in 2013.

Budget revenues are projected at 956.4 billion dinars ($10.9 billion/8.4 billion euro) next year, spending is set at 1,078 billion dinars and the budget deficit target is 81.7 billion dinars lower than the 2012 plan.

The government proposes to raise social spending by 7.0 billion dinars and cut state subsidies by the same amount next year. Capital expenditures are set to increase by 4.1 billion dinars.
