Serbia Signs 20 Mln Euro Road Upgrade Deal with Austria’s Porr

The Austrian company should modernise a 30-kilometre section of the European E75 motorway that crosses the Serbian capital Belgrade, Putevi Srbije’s Director General Zoran Drobnjak told SeeNews, adding the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will finance the project.

“We signed the contract yesterday and expect the works to start straight away and last around a year and a half,” Drobnjak said.

Last week Porr signed a 19.4 million euro contract for the modernisation of 30 kilometres of railroad with Serbia’s state-owned railways operator Zeleznice Srbije, to be financed by the European Investment Bank.
