The drafting of the feasibility study was agreed at a meeting in Belgrade between Serbian prime minister Aleksandar Vucic and his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta, the government said in a statement.

The two heads of government also discussed the possibilities for cooperation on the Pancevo-Rasice trans-Balkan corridor project, which would improve cross-regional electricity flows, would provide a further link between Serbia and Romania and the EU and would ensure the energy stability of the two countries, the statement said.

Vucic and Ponta also discussed possible cooperation on the construction of a gas corridor.
