- The construction of a 77-kilometre motorway section linking capital Belgrade with Ljig, in central Serbia, could begin in the spring, Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said. Dinkic has invited Chinese investors to take part in the 300 million euro project and said that the government in Belgrade will finance 30% of the project.

- The construction of a 170 million euro bridge connecting the Belgrade municipality of Zemun with the suburb of Borca over the Danube river could start in the middle of 2010, Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic said. Serbia and Chinese company China Road and Bridge Corporation signed a subcontract last month for the construction of the bridge. Dinkic said that local companies will do 45% of the construction under the subcontract.

- Serbia will call a prequalification tender for the sale of its largest drug maker Galenika by the end of this month, the vice president of the country’s Privatisation Agency, Vladislav Cvetkovic, said.
