The main task of the centre will be the development of training in the field of mine countermeasures and innovative solutions, with the possibility of testing equipment, Bojan Glamoclija, director of the centre for demining, was quoted as saying in a press release on Friday.

In the near future, the centre will focus on delivering internationally recognized training tailored to the requirements of competent institutions involved in humanitarian demining in Serbia, Glamoclija said.

In October 2023, the demining centre, in collaboration with the defense ministry and the Serbian armed forces, finalised an agreement concerning the training of Serbian armed forces personnel in demining and the safe disposal of unexploded ordnance.
