August 10 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government said a second electric vehicle (EV) charging station has been installed on pan-European Corridor X route in the country, at the former Bubanj Potok toll station, near Belgrade.
Wi-Fi hotspots were installed at five rest areas along the corridor, while EV charging stations will also be present at five locations along Corridor X in Serbia, deputy infrastructure minister Sasa Stojanovic said in a press release issued by the Serbian government on Wednesday.
An EV charging station has already been installed at Presevo toll station, near the border with Macedonia, while a third one is under construction at Sid toll station, near the border with Croatia, the government said.
Electric chargers will be installed at the toll stations Dimitrovgrad and Subotica Jug, located near Serbia's borders with Bulgaria and Hungary, respectively.
Corridor X will connect Salzburg in Austria to the Greek port of Thessaloniki, passing through Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Macedonia. In Serbia, the project includes the construction of the Belgrade bypass motorway, as well as two separate sections, linking Nis to Merdare and to the border with Bulgaria.
