BELGRADE (Serbia), October 4 (SeeNews) – Serbia is holding talks on borrowing a development policy loan from the World Bank next year, the country's finance ministry said.
The loan is aimed at supporting the government's goals to improve the legislative framework and the public administration system, the finance ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The provision of the loan was discussed by finance minister Sinisa Mali and World Bank Country Manager for Serbia Stephen Ndegwa during a meeting in Belgrade, the ministry said.
The World Bank plans to draw up a support plan for the 2020 - 2024 period and will announce a new Growth Agenda for Serbia, in order to highlight the growth potential of different sectors, the ministry added.
