Serbia extends cap on bread prices until May

November 24 (SeeNews) - Serbia’s government extended until May the cap of 54 dinars ($0.50/0.46 euro) on the retail price of a half-a-kilo loaf of bread made from T-500 wheat flour, it said.

The extension aims to prevent a decline in the standard of living of the population, the government said in a statement on Thursday.

The highest margin rate calculated on the net invoice price cannot exceed 6%, it added.
