BELGRADE (Serbia), October 23 (SeeNews) – Serbia's government expects civil engineering company PZP Kragujevac to complete in March 2020 the construction of the last section of the road linking Kragujevac to Batocina, infrastructure minister Zorana Mihajlovic has said.
Serbia's government is not satisfied with the pace of works on the project in central Serbia and plans to hold meetings with the contractor on a weekly basis to analyse the advancement of the construction, Mihajlovic said in a statement on Tuesday.
The completion of the Kragujevac-Batocina road is as important for the government as the motorways and railways it is constructing, Mihajlovic said.
The road will have a length of 5 kilometres and will link Kragujevac to Batocina-East tollbooths. Serbia opened to traffic in 2017 a 22 km-long section of the 27 km-long road linking Kragujevac to Batocina.
