Serbia breaks ground for Slepcevic-Badovinci expressway section

November 27 (SeeNews) - Serbia began the construction of a 15.3-km expressway section connecting Slepcevic, in the western part of the country, to Badovinci, on the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, president Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday.

“This will not only allow for easier and faster travel, good infrastructure attracts fresh investments," Vucic said during the groundbreaking ceremony, according to a press release issued by his office.

Azeri company AzVirt has been contracted to carry out the construction works on the expressway section that will be an extension to the 54.5-kilometre Sabac-Loznica motorway, due to be finished by the end of 2024, infrastructure minister Goran Vesic said earlier.
