Serbia, Bosnia sign EU-backed cooperation agreement

November 24 (SeeNews) - Serbia signed a cross-border cooperation agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period 2021-2027 worth 16.2 million euro ($17.7 million), the Serbian government said on Friday.

The EU will provide a 14 million euro grant through its Instrument for Pre-Accession 3 (IPA 3) programme to finance activities under the agreement, the government said in a press release

The agreement aims to support employment opportunities for young people, improvement of tourist capacities and joint tourist offers.

Beneficiaries of the agreement are 31 local governments in four districts in Serbia and 67 local authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
