A bid from Poland's LOT was rejected due to incomplete documentation, whereas one from TUI Airways did not meet the conditions of the public call, the Sarajevo Airport said in a notice last week.
The tender attracted one other offer from Norwegian Air which was not considered because it was submitted after the deadline.
The canton launched the call for subsidies to airlines that will launch new flights to Sarajevo in 2024 in October.
Passenger numbers at the Sarajevo International Airport surged to 1.38 million in 2022, compared with 767,134 passengers served a year earlier. Bosnia and Herzegovina has three other international airports, located in Banja Luka, Tuzla and Mostar.
The Sarajevo Canton is one of ten cantons making up the Federation, one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The other entity is the Serb Republic.
