Sales of new dwellings in Bosnia's Federation up 1.2% in 2023

February 20 (SeeNews) - The number of new dwellings sold in Bosnia's Federation rose by 1.2% year-on-year to 986 in 2023, the entity's statistical office said on Tuesday.

The average sale price per square metre of new dwellings increased by 14.7% to 2,591.80 marka ($1,433/1,325 euro) last year, the statistical office said in a quarterly report.

The usable floor area of the new dwellings sold in 2023 fell by 2.3% in comparison with 2022.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the number of sold new dwellings in the Federation increased 23.2% year-on-year to 286. The average sale price per square metre of new dwellings increased by 11.6% on the year to 2,705.50 marka. The usable floor area of the new dwellings sold in the in the period from October to December fell by 4.9% in comparison with the same period of 2022.

The Federation is one of two autonomous entities that form Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serb Republic is the other one.
