November 8 (SeeNews) - Russia banned deals with 74 foreign arms producers, including fifteen Bulgarian and three Montenegrin companies, the Russian government said on Tuesday.
The sanctions take effect immediately, the government said in a statement.
Temporary permits for certain transactions, however, can still be granted by the local regulator.
The list of sanctioned companies includes arms makers from Bulgaria, Montenegro, the UK, Germany, Canada, Lithuania, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia and the US.
The Bulgarian companies on the list are Arsenal, Emko, Dunarit, Terem, Vazovski Mashinostroitelni Zavodi (VMZ), Arcus [BUL:2AK1], Beta Corp, Balkanrous Trading, Balkan Hunter, EL kart, EIM Trade, UMT, Sage Consultants, Hartford international Group and Metalika-AB.
The sanctioned Montenegrin companies are Armada Group, Montenegro Defence Industry, and Tara Aerospace and Defense Products.
