Exports fell by an annual 1.3% to 7.085 billion euro in January, while imports decreased by 4.8% to 9.044 billion euro, INS said in a statement.
The European Union absorbed 74.2% of Romania’s exports in the review period, and accounted for 73.7% of the country’s imports.
Machinery and transport equipment represented 47.3% of Romania’s exports and 35.9% of imports, while other manufactured goods made up 29.6% of exports and 27.9% of imports in the first month of 2024.
