October 25 (SeeNews) - The operator of Romania's Stefan cel Mare airport has invited bids for modernisation works under a 132.9 million lei ($37.8 million/29.1 million euro) contract, a notice in the European Union’s procurement journal shows on Thursday.

The value of the contract is free of Value Added Tax. The contract involves the modernisation of the runway, the lighting system, the control tower and the power plant of the airport located in the town of Salcea in the nortwestern Suceava county, reads the notice published in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).

The contract's duration is 18 months. The bidding deadline in the tender is December 7.
