February 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian fast food chain Sphera Franchise Group [BSE:SFG] opened a new KFC restaurant in the central city of Sibiu, following a 1 million euro ($1.08 million) investment, it said on Friday.
The new restaurant is the fourth KFC unit Sphera opens in Sibiu, the company said in a press release.
The new Drive Thru restaurant operates 24/7 with a capacity of 96 indoor and outdoor seats, the company said. The restaurant has a surface area of 350 sq m and is staffed by 50 people.
Sphera operates over 160 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants in Romania, Italy and Moldova, employing some 5,000 people.
Sphera's shares traded 1.09% lower at 27.1 lei ($5.89/5.44 euro) as of 1259 CET on Friday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
