Romania's SIF Oltenia buys 4.99% stake in Bucharest bourse

December 6 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund SIF Oltenia [BSE:SIF5] said it has acquired a 4.99% stake in the operator of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, [BSE:BVB] for 7.66 million lei ($2.2 million/1.7 million euro).

Romania's SIF Oltenia buys 4.99% stake in Bucharest bourse

SIF 5 Oltenia bought 383,165 BVB shares, the fund said in a statement filed with the bourse on Wednesday.

BVB started trading its shares on its own platform in June 2010.

In regular trading, blue-chip BVB's shares were up 0.95% at 20.19 lei by 1131 GMT.

(1 euro = 4.5318 Romanian lei)
