BUCHAREST (Romania), October 10 (SeeNews) – Romania's consumer prices rose by 1.18% on the month in September after going up by 0.51% in August, the statistics office said on Wednesday.

Romania's Sept inflation quickens to 1.18% m/m, 5.33% y/y

In annual terms inflation accelerated to 5.33% last month from 3.88% in August, Romania's statistics office, INS, said in a statement.

The average monthly inflation in January-September was 0.4% compared to 0.2% a year earlier.

Romania's end-2011 inflation slowed down to 3.14% from nearly 8.0% in 2010. The country's central bank forecasts 3.2% inflation at end-2012.
