Romania's Sept Annual Inflation Rate Highest in EU - Eurostat

October 15 (SeeNews) - Romania's September annual inflation rate of 4.9% was the highest among all European Union member states, the bloc's statistics office reported on Thursday.

Romania also ranked first in terms of annual inflation rate among the EU countries in May, June and July.

In September, the second largest annual inflation rate among EU countries, of 4.8%, was recorded by Hungary and the third largest rate, of 4.0%, by Poland. Ireland had the lowest annual rate, recording a deflation of 3.0%, Eurostat said in a statement.
