Romania's Rutier Conex XXI wins road feasibility study deal

February 27 (SeeNews) - Romanian engineering and technical consultancy company Rutier Conex XXI has been awarded a contract worth 8.4 million lei ($1.8 million/1.69 million euro) to conduct a feasibility study for modernising parts of the popular Transfagarasan road, the head of Romania's road infrastructure company CNAIR, Cristian Pistol, said on Tuesday.

The Transfagarasan road, also known as DN7C, is the second-highest paved road in Romania, spanning 151 km through the Carpathian Mountains, a popular tourist destination.

The company has 12 months to complete the contract, Pistol said in a social media post.

The contract is financed through Romania's Transport Programme.
