Romania's real net wage rises 6.3% y/y in Jan

On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage decreased by 5.3% in January, INS said in a data release.

In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage rose by 14.2% on the year in January, while dropping by 4.3% on the month, to 4,859 lei ($1,069/978 euro).

In January, the computer programming, consultancy and related activities sector reported the highest average net wage at 11,193 lei. The lowest net average wage, of 2,733 lei, was recorded in the manufacture of apparel.
