Romania's M3 money supply up nominal 10.3% y/y in Oct

November 24 (SeeNews) - Romania’s central bank said on Monday that M3, the broadest gauge of money supply, grew by a nominal 10.3% year-on-year to 640.86 billion lei ($140.6 billion/128.9 billion euro) in October, after increasing by 10.1% in September.

On a monthly comparison basis, M3 money supply rose 0.02% in October, the central bank, BNR, said in a monthly monetary statistics report.

In real terms, M3 grew by 2.1% on the year and decreased by 0.6% on the month in October.

Romania’s M1 monetary aggregate decreased by 1.5% on the year in October, to 392.2 billion lei, after a 2.5% drop in October.

Net foreign assets rose by an annual 24.1% in October, reaching 320.1 billion lei, while net domestic assets decreased by 0.7% year-on-year to 320.7 billion lei.
