Compared to October 2022, Romania's jobless rate was 0.3 percentage points lower, the statistical office said in a monthly report.
Registered unemployed in Romania numbered 446,500 in October, compared to 448,700 in September and 460,600 in October 2022.
The jobless rate among women in October was 5.1% versus 5.7% among men.
The unemployment rate among adults aged between 25 and 74 was estimated at 4.5%. Adults aged 25 to 74 who were jobless in October accounted for 77.6% of all unemployed people. Unemployment among people aged 15 to 24 remained high, at 21.1%.
Romania's workforce is estimated to have reached 8.27 million people in 2022, up from 8.21 million in 2021.
