Energy imports rose by an annual 0.6% to 12.639 million TOE in the period, INS said in a statement.
A TOE is the rounded-off amount of energy that would be produced by burning one metric tonne of crude oil.

Electricity generated in Romania and imports totalled 48.95 billion KWh in the period, up by 8.8% on the year, as power generation rose by 9.9%.
Romanian exports of electricity in the first nine months of the year went up by 69.5%, or by a net 1,610.4 million KWh.
