November 29 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 35,936 building permits for residential projects in January-October, down 2.1% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said on Friday.
As many as 65.5% of the permits issued in October were for projects located in Romania's rural areas, INS said in a statement.
Only in October, Romania issued 3,736 building permits, up 0.8% on the month and down 3.3% year-on-year.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
The total number of permits for residential buildings issued in 2018 was 42,694, up 2.6% on the year.
