December 12 (SeeNews) - Romania's current account deficit increased by 10.9% on the year to an estimated 14.437 billion euro ($19.3 billion) in the first 10 months of 2008 due to a widening trade gap, the country's central bank said on Friday.

Romania's trade deficit for the January-October period rose by 10.2% on the year, reaching 15.485 billion euro on a FOB/FOB (free-on-board) basis, the central bank said in a statement.
