Romania's Jan-July Retail Sales Index Falls 10.4% Y/Y - Table

September 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's retail sales index fell by 10.4% on the year in the first seven months of 2009, data of the National Statistics Institute, INS, showed on Tuesday.

The figures are seasonally and working-day adjusted, INS said in a statement.

In July alone the retail sales index was 2.2% higher than in June but was 13.8% lower on the year.

NOTE: Vehicle sales include sales of passenger cars and other motor vehicles, as well as maintenance and repair revenue.
